What Are YOU Doing This Weekend?
Philadelphia Area Events for the Weekend of 5/30-6/2
Thursday May 30th
Devon Horse Show & Country Fair
This is not in the city. I know. I just love horses & this is a grand Main Line tradition. I got my tickets for Thursday night’s Grand Prix which is bound to be exciting & is featuring a performance by the Philadelphia mounted police. Which I just LOVE seeing around & I am so glad they are back! Events run through Friday.
Cirque Du Soleil
Unfortunately, Camden got the show this year. I saw it in past years at a tent on Broad & Washington & the Liacouras Center. The performers are beyond amazing & the shows are always over the top. Bonus: they don’t abuse animals for our viewing pleasure. This show runs through June 23rd. Get your tickets online here.
Friday May 31st
Philadelphia Museum of Art — Art After 5/The Art of Golf
Art after 5 is kind of awesome. You pay general admission for a triple whammy of art exhibits, music in the center hall along with drinks & nibbles by Starr catering. Most recently on display is The Art of Golf & this week’s artist is a bassist by the name of Lee Smith. BTW…this is EVERY Friday!
Saturday June 1st
The Roots Picnic
A Philly music fest at Festival Pier on Penn’s Landing. Get your tickets & line up info here.
The Italian Festival & Craft Beer Day
This Philly Beer Week event is one of locals top picks & is hosted in the Philly favorite neighborhood of East Passyunk. This event runs from 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Hit two festivals in one day & check out the Italian Festival on East Passyunk Ave. between Moore & Mifflin from 12-7 p.m. This is family friendly so bring the kiddies! For more information on both events check out the East Passyunk page.
Friends Of Seger Park Spring Festival Fundraiser
A great event for the kids. This park is in the midst of a huge renovation & is really coming along nicely. This event features moon bounces, a magician, kiddie tennis lessons, song & dance. There will also be food trucks. Event runs from 11-3 p.m.
