Sunday August 11th
You know we love a good day trip. Jet Wine Bar is hosting a vineyard bus trip! Meet at Jet for a “sparkling” send off (does this mean some morning champs??) then board the bus for a winery tour of Berks county. The $65 ticket includes transportation, tasting costs, lunch & a glass of sparkly at Jet before boarding. The bus leaves the vineyards at 4:30.
Go a little further then the farm to table & experience the nose to tail movement. This is where chefs honor the animal that is being killed by using all of it (I remember learning about this being a Native American tradition in school). Chef Josh Lawler of Farm & Fisherman will be hosting a butchery class where guests can get a behind the scenes look at what a butcher does. This class will focus on the butchering of lamb & goat as well as sausage making. The price tag is $125 but it included a live demo, a short course & a 5 course meal. Don’t forget they are B.Y.O. so bring your favorite wine or beer. Class size is quite limited so call the restaurant asap 267.687.1555.
