What buyers want according to a Community Preference Survey by the National Association of Realtors:

  • 60% favor neighborhoods with walkable features & shorter commutes
  • 78% said the neighborhood is more important than the size of the home
  • 57% would prefer a shorter commute to work over a large yard
  • 55% would prefer being able to walk to schools, restaurants & stores over a large yard
