Re-Designing History in Old City

from colonial to quirky: 104-6 arch street philadelphia pa 19106

Old City is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Philadelphia.  The history, the charm, the quaint galleries, shops and restaurants.  But of all the historic sights and attractions, the real estate is what continues to impress me. From industrial lofts in old factories, to the oldest inhabited residential street in America “Elfreth’s Alley“, the unique construction of Old City brings something for everyone.

Recent trending, in demand design has been a combination of neutral color palettes, clean lines and that rustic meets shabby chic aesthetic.  Features like wood accents and exposed brick combined with modern finishes and organic embellishments seem to be the more desirable features for today’s homeowners.

The current owner of 104-6 Arch Street went against the grain and decided to make their Old City, two home combined abode, as unique and personalized as you can get.  Breaking all the rules of interior design, this home is furnished with colorful artwork, unconventional furniture and bold lighting.
